Bean To Truffle
Learn, Taste, and Make Dark Chocolate Truffles with Geoseph Domenichiello, Master Chocolatier & Chocolate Sommelier. We will make 2 types of dark chocolate truffles: one made with bean to bar chocolate (we will grind up the beans in class!), and one made with couverture. Don’t know what that means? Come and find out. We will also taste some chocolate and cocoa beans beforehand, then roll up our sleeves and get the cream boiling and the butter softening. You will make dark chocolate ganache while also learning some troubleshooting tips (ie, how not to split a ganache).
We will make simple yet incredibly delectable truffles with recipes you can repeat at home using a thick ganache that we will pinch and roll in cocoa powder. No tempering required! Come with your chocolate questions! Things may get a bit dirty, so bring an apron or wear something you don’t mind covering in cocoa powder. Remember to bring a clean container.
Ticket sales end the day before the event.
It will be held at the Italian Cultural Centre in Vancouver.
