Elevate Your Satisfaction With Chocolate

 In-person Events Code Of Conduct

Applicable to all in-person tastings, classes, lessons, and events

In order to create an environment conducive to good learning, please adhere to the following code of conduct while on the premise of and/or engaged in any event related to Chocolate With Geoseph. Basically, be respectful. These apply to yourself, towards others, and towards the host and any staff.

  1. Show respect towards the host/instructor. If your behaviour is disruptive or demeaning, you may be asked to leave, and no refund will be issued.

  2. No strong odours on your person. This may include but is not limited to strong perfumes, strong perfumed creams/lotions, body odour, smoke, poor hygiene. Why? Smell is tied strongly to our sense of flavour, and our emotions. Unnecessary strong odours on yourself can impede your ability to taste properly, and also may make others unable to enjoy what they paid for.

  3. No foul, coarse, profane, obscene, or blasphemous language. Use a dictionary app if finding other words will be an issue for you.

  4. No sexual behaviour, language, touching, or inference. You may think you are princess charming or prince charming, but most would disagree.

  5. No discussion of politics, world events, or social issues unrelated to chocolate. This is a place where people can relax and focus on learning, and not have to be debated or scolded on your opinions.

  6. Do not come intoxicated with alcohol and/or behaviour altering drugs. You will be asked to leave, and a refund will not be issued.

  7. Conduct yourself in a respectful, civilized, adult manner.

I wish I did not have to write a code of conduct, but here we are.

These tastings, classes, and events are for people to enjoy themselves and to learn about chocolate, not just to have a “good time”. I’m an instructor, not an entertainer. If you’re a nerd like me and find learning exciting, you’ll enjoy my style.
